For IT directors and CIOs

You need to know what you're carrying. We give you the risk, the cost of fixing it, and what happens if you leave it — in language you can repeat to your board without a DBA in the room.

For DBAs and DevOps leads

You probably already know where the bodies are buried. We give you the evidence to get it funded, and a second pair of senior hands when the work starts.

For MSPs

When a client estate runs deeper than your SQL bench, we sit behind you. White-label, no poaching, no surprises on the invoice.

Services

01 — 07
01

Health assessments

We look at an instance the way an inspector looks at a building: configuration, indexing, backups, security. You get a scored, ranked account of what we found — not a data dump.

02

Performance tuning

The month-end batch that runs into the morning. The report everyone dreads opening. We start with what the business actually waits on, then work down the list.

03

High availability & disaster recovery

Availability groups, clustering, failover. First we agree how much downtime and data loss you can genuinely tolerate, then we build to it and test until it holds.

04

Migrations & upgrades

Old versions, new hardware, on-premises to Azure. Planned backwards from a maintenance window you can defend, so nobody finds out about it on Monday.

05

Managed & remote DBA

Monitoring, patching, maintenance — owned by someone whose actual job it is. Full cover, or just the nights and weekends your team shouldn't be carrying.

06

Backup & recovery strategy

A backup you have never restored is not a backup. We set retention, get copies offsite, then rehearse the restore so the bad day is a procedure instead of a scramble.

07

BI, reporting & warehousing

Reporting that stops competing with your transactions for the same resources, on a model built for questions rather than orders.

The health assessment

Before anyone proposes anything, it is worth knowing what you have actually got. We scan the instance and hand back a straight account of its condition — what is dangerous, what is merely untidy, and what we would do about each.

Nothing on your systems changes without your say-so. This is a read, not a repair — and the report is yours either way. The scan runs over a secure connection, so we work with clients anywhere.

1

Short scoping call

Twenty minutes. What you run, how much of it, and what is actually keeping you up.

2

Read-only scan

We collect configuration and health data and touch nothing else. No changes, no restarts, no agents left behind.

3

Findings report

Everything we found, ranked, each with what we saw and what we would do about it. Written to be read by people who do not live in SQL.

4

Walkthrough

We sit down with your team, go through it, and argue about what matters first. You leave with an order of work.

What the report contains

The Health Assessment Report sets out what the scan found on the instance, organised by severity from critical down to informational baseline. It opens with an executive summary and a posture score, then details every finding with its specifics and recommendation, plus an instance profile and a per-database breakdown.

Contents
I
Executive summary
The state of the instance in a page, for the people who will never read the rest of it.
II
Posture score
One number for where you stand, and the parts that add up to it.
III
Findings by severity
Critical first, informational baseline last. No burying the bad news in an appendix.
IV
Specifics and recommendation
For each finding: what we saw, where we saw it, and what we would do about it.
V
Instance profile
Edition, configuration, resources, and how much of them you are actually using.
VI
Per-database breakdown
Each database on its own terms, instead of averaged into a healthy-looking mean.
Severity scale
Critical Stop and deal with it. Exposure, or data you could lose.
High Not on fire. Book it in anyway.
Medium Fold it into normal maintenance.
Informational Recorded for the baseline. No action implied.

Because every finding carries its own specifics and recommendation, the report doubles as a work list.

Three documents

Assess · Plan · Implement

Each is a separate engagement, and each stands on its own. You can stop after any of them and still hold something useful.

01 Assess

Health Assessment Report

What the scan found on the instance, organised by severity from critical down to informational baseline. It opens with an executive summary and a posture score, then details every finding with its specifics and recommendation, plus an instance profile, per-database breakdown, and an honest statement of what this method does and doesn't cover. This is the document you'd deliver to a customer whether or not they engage you further.

02 Plan

Remediation Projects Report

Turns those findings into scheduled work. Every actionable finding is assigned to exactly one project with a phase, effort estimate, outage flag, change risk, implementation steps, definition of done and rollback plan. It's the basis for a quote and a delivery plan — a customer can read it, price it, and hand it to another supplier if they choose to.

03 Implement

Implementation Script Pack

The actual T-SQL to carry out the remediation, written specifically for that instance with computed values and a wrong-instance guard on every script. Scripts are banded by how much judgement they need: run as written, complete the variables first, or investigate first with no change script generated. Issued only when the customer commissions the work.

I'm a data and technology professional with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations design, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize their data platforms.

My career has been built around Microsoft SQL Server and business intelligence, with a focus on solving complex data challenges. My experience also extends beyond the database itself — across the modern Microsoft data and analytics ecosystem. This broader perspective allows me to look at an organization's data environment as a whole rather than focusing on a single server, database, or tool.

That philosophy is what led to the creation of Secure Intelligence. Our goal is simple: give organizations a clear understanding of the health of their SQL Server and data environments, identify the issues that matter most, and provide practical recommendations that help them make better technology decisions.

Your data is too important to guess about. We provide the intelligence to understand it, protect it, and make it better.

Request a health assessment

Tell us roughly what you run. We will come back with scope, timing and exactly what access we need — and if we think you do not need us yet, we will say so. No obligation, no sales sequence.

Would rather talk it through first? Contact us instead.

A person reads this. You will hear back within one business day.

Questions about scope, access, or whether an assessment is even the right first step. You reach a specialist directly, not a queue.

We work with organizations across Louisiana and Texas — Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Alexandria, Houston and Austin — and, because the scan runs over a secure connection, with clients anywhere.
